What makes an Avocado mattress 'green' and organic?
Our mattresses are handcrafted in California using GOTS certified organic cotton and wool, and GOLS certified organic latex. We never use polyurethane foams, chemical flame retardants, or toxic glues.
How long is the sleep trial and what is your return policy?
We offer a 365-night sleep trial. If you are not completely satisfied within the first year, you can return your mattress for a full refund. We even arrange for a professional pickup at no cost to you.
Do Avocado mattresses require a specific type of bed frame?
Our mattresses work best on firm, non-flexible surfaces. This includes our own solid wood foundations, adjustable bases, or any slatted frame where the slats are no more than 5 inches apart.
How long does shipping take and is it free?
We offer free carbon-neutral shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States. Standard shipping usually takes 3-7 business days, while handmade mattresses may take 2-3 weeks for production.
What is the difference between the Standard and Pillow-top models?
The Standard mattress is a medium-firm (7/10) feel, ideal for back and stomach sleepers. The Pillow-top adds a 2-inch layer of organic latex for a gentle-firm (6/10) feel, preferred by side sleepers.
Do you offer financing options for larger purchases?
Yes, we partner with Affirm to provide flexible financing. You can choose to pay over 3, 6, or 12 months with rates as low as 0% APR based on eligibility.
